Save the dates...

This Thursday, April 14: Along with some other members of our community, Erin and I will be performing at Destruction and Rebirth - An Artistic Approach to BDSM & Its Community - the event starts at 7:30 PM, it's free, and there's a dance party afterward. It's unclear as to whether or not the performances will be videotaped, so if anyone wants to show up and record our performance, it'd be much appreciated!

Event description: Come join Goddess of Ceremonies Goddess Arsine, artists RopeRider, Day_rafi_iya, Void19, Coldsteel2005, Bitches of Destiny, DJ Jack Phoenix and others on the evening of April 14th for a look at kink through the arts! Come for performances, fine art, talks, and more! It is a FREE event and open to the public. So come support your local kink community while having fun and learning something too. It will be an event not to be missed!

September 24 & 25, 2011: Bound In Boston X! The contract has been signed with the hotel, and I'll soon be putting out a call for presenters. Stay tuned for more details...

Thanks to everyone who took the post-con survey! Here's what I heard the most consistently:

* Registration/check-in need to be run more smoothly (it'll be better the next time, I promise!)

* Some classes are too crowded (our next con may have an attendance cap to alleviate crowding).

* The classes need to focus more on hands-on tying and practice, and less on demos and lectures.

Other things that came up:
* Several people felt that the lunch breaks were too long.
* Several people felt that the class sessions were too long, although an equal number felt that the sessions were too short!
* Many people suggested having specific "tracks" - for example "beginners," "advanced," "suspension."
* Some people feel that I send too many e-mails.

As always, Bound In Boston is a growing and evolving con, and I'm always happy to try new ways of doing things.

See you all soon,

- Matthew/RopeRider
