Bound In Boston XI: March 24 & 25, 2012

Rules

The dress code for all hotel hallways and public/common areas of the hotel is family-friendly. "Street-legal" is not good enough. No play in any public/common areas of the hotel.

We share the hotel with other guests, children, groups, and hotel staff, all of whom deserve our respect. Our commitment to the hotel is, in essence, to make sure that no one has a reason to feel uncomfortable with our presence. We have built a solid, trusting relationship with the hotel, and as long as we keep to ourselves they’re happy to provide a space for us to have fun. Accordingly, here are the things you'll be agreeing to when you arrive at the con:

  • Respect other hotel guests and staff by:
    • wearing family-friendly attire in all hallways, public, and common areas of the hotel.
    • keeping kink conversation out of hearing range of hotel guests and staff;
    • not approaching other hotel guests to ask them if they’re part of our event.
  • There is no play or disruptive behavior of any kind allowed in the hallways, public, and common areas of the hotel. This includes:
    • Wearing or displaying rope, fetish gear, or toys;
    • Collar & leash lead. Wearing a collar is fine.
    • Any sort of bdsm play, impact play, spanking, groping, biting, etc.;
    • Loud noise;
    • Any behavior that might be confusing or offensive to hotel guests or staff.
  • There is no sex allowed at the event. "Sex" is:
    • body parts or toys inside of other body parts;
    • hand/genital contact;
    • oral/genital contact.
    • Exceptions: kissing, and contact that’s required by the nature of a class or presentation.
  • Alcohol and drugs are prohibited at the con and the party. Bound In Boston has a zero-tolerance policy with regards to alcohol and drugs. Anyone appearing intoxicated or under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be immediately ejected.
  • All attendees must wear their wristband and ID badge at all times when in the con space.
  • Cell-phone/mobile device use of any kind is prohibited in the con space.
  • Photography is only permitted if the subject is against a wall and no one is behind them.
  • Our contract with the hotel prohibits us from bringing in outside food and beverages, so please don't have pizza delivered at mealtimes or come back with pizza boxes or food from restaurants outside the hotel.

Dress style is for the daytime classes is casual, and most people will wear comfortable, casual clothing. You may dress as you please when you're in a classroom and the doors are closed, but you must be in family-friendly attire at all other times, even in the hallways.

All attendees must be at least 18 years old, and will need to sign a waiver.

This Bound In Boston website serves members of the bdsm rope bondage kink and fetish communities in the Boston, Massachusetts area. It is particularly of interest to people who are interested in Shibari or Kinbaku. These are the origins of the Japanese-styled rope bondage techniques that we learn about and practice. Very often people in the kink and fetish communities are interested in rope bondage, having heard the terms Shibari and Kinbaku, but are uneducated in their origins and use. While we are not technically teaching the pure rope bondage forms of Shibari or Kinbaku, we base our teachings on those artforms. Our workshops are in the Boston, Massachusetts area. Hemp, jute - different types of rope are used.

There's nothing down here.
